Another holiday on the Red Sea coast near to Marsa Alam, where I can photograph the passing migrants and my wife can snorkel and do some underwater photography.
We stayed at two different hotels which gave a slightly different reef for my wife and different gardens for me to walk around.
Here is a collection of some of the birds I photographed plus a few shots of flowers, butterflies, moon, sunrise and sunset.
Most of the birds I’d seen before but I did manage one new lifer, the Red-breasted Flycatcher Ficedula parva.
As well as these photographs I also saw a flock of Northern Pintail, a couple of Grey Heron, Kingfisher, Greater Sand Plover, lots of Martins and Swallows passing though, a Hoopoe and an unknown Owl flying into land from the sea, so no idea where it came from.

The buff coloured flanks confused me for a while but it seems to be a variable that occurs on birds from South Africa and also Ethiopia

Originally thought it was a Redstart but it had white outer tail feathers and no red rump. After research found it was a Red-breasted Flycatcher, a new lifer for me.
